Direct Seller's, Peddler's & Solicitor Permits are now online through OpenGov.
Anyone applying for a Direct Seller's, Peddler's & Solicitor Permit must submit:
- Copy of your Driver's License or Photo ID
- Letter of Permission (if conducting stationary sales)
- 2" X 2" color photo less than one (1) year old
- Copy of your CURRENT Wisconsin Seller's Permit
Simply go to this link to create or log in to your account in OpenGov.
Moving forward, once you create an account, you can apply for multiple licenses through the City each year, using the same account (including Dog License/Operator’s License/Special Event/etc).
Required for anyone wishing to sell items door-to-door in the City of Sun Prairie. Persons who have owned or operated a business in Sun Prairie for at least one year, are working for a registered charitable organization, or who are selling home grown produce do not need a Direct Seller's, Peddler's & Solicitor Permit.

- $30.00 per week
- $65.00 per month
- $300.00 per year ($150.00/year if applied for after July 1)
- $7.00 background check
