O'Keeffe Avenue Road Reconstruction Project

LIMITS: Summerfield Way to Reiner Road.

Project Extents

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City was awarded a federal STBG-U grant to replace the pavement on O'Keeffe Ave from Summerfield Way to Reiner Rd. As part of this project, O'Keeffe Ave will be reduced from four to two travel lanes due a lack of traffic volume, concerns around safety and speed, to bring existing crosswalks up to ADA standards, to add Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons to key crosswalks on O'Keeffe, and to provide improved transit and bicycle infrastructure with a bike/bus only lane. The City will receive up to $1.5 million in federal funds, or a maximum of 65% of the total project costs. The total estimated costs for the project are $2.0 million dollars.
