Sun Prairie EMS appointed its very first lieutenants in 2022. The lieutenants function as the officer in charge, (OIC), while on duty, and are the first link in the leadership chain of command for staff. Sun Prairie EMS lieutenants work with staff on day-to-day operations, ensuring that ambulances are appropriately staffed, supplied, and ready to respond to calls at any time. The lieutenants may be contacted 24 hours per day by phone at (608) 837-3604, option 5, or by e-mail at emslieutenants@cityofsunprairie.com.
