The City of Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department (SPPRF) has announced a new volunteer program and management system due to the growing community interest in volunteering for programs, services, and events.
The volunteer opportunity database will be updated regularly with new opportunities that provides interested individuals with details of each option. All new volunteers are required to apply online, and once approved, can manage their assignments and log hours online.
Current volunteer opportunities include a mix of one-time and ongoing assignments such as neighborhood park stewards, museum inventory volunteers, Lettuce Dream Garden ambassadors, Concerts in the Park volunteers, and more.
“We are excited to connect community members who are eager to serve with different opportunities in a way that’s organized and easy to follow,” said Kristin Grissom, Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director.
