[ARCHIVED] City of Sun Prairie & Metro Transit to Host a Public Information Meeting Regarding the Draft Express

On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, the City of Sun Prairie will be hosting a public information meeting from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Creekside Elementary School (1251 O’Keeffe Avenue) to discuss the draft express commuter bus route and stops. The meeting will provide residents the opportunity to share their ideas, concerns, and opinions about the bus route and stops. The planned route would include a local circulator, park-and-ride pickup, and express service from Sun Prairie to the Capitol Square as follows: 

Local Service 

  • American Parkway
  • Hoepker Road
  • S. Legacy Way
  • Blue Aster Blvd
  • Grand Avenue
  • W. Main Street
  • O’Keeffe Avenue 

Express Service 

  • Sun Prairie Park-and-Ride (O’Keeffe Ave. / Cramer Dr.) 
  • Five stops on East Washington Avenue

Residents are invited and encouraged to attend the public involvement meeting. City of Sun Prairie staff and Metro Transit staff will be on hand to answer questions and hear your comments. Information about the analysis leading to the proposed route, the proposed route, and comment forms will be available. Staff will also give a brief presentation in support of the route at 7:00 pm. If you would like to learn more or offer comments but cannot attend the open house, information is available on the Transportation page of the City’s website at www.cityofsunprairie.com/transportation. Comments may be submitted to the Planning Division any time before Monday, April 1, 2019 at pgritzmacher@cityofsunprairie.com.
