West Main Street Corridor Plan

The West Main Street Corridor Plan was adopted by the Common Council in 2006. The plan provides a vision for the revitalization of the corridor between the downtown and USH 151 through a combination of public and private investment. The city has recently completed 2 major reconstruction projects along the corridor to address traffic flow and aesthetics.

In addition, unique zoning regulations have been established and Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) District #10 has been created along the corridor to encourage quality reinvestment and redevelopment along the corridor. These actions were all directly related to the implementation of the West Main Street Corridor Plan.
